In this article it discusses why Romney's Anti-Trump speech is a turning point in the campaign.  His speech, whether or not it sways many Republican voters away from trump, it creates a permanent fissure in the GOV and it was one of the most important movements of the 2016 campaign. in his speech Romney says trump is racist, sexist, stupid, dishonest and mean. and he continues to argue why he is completely unfit for presidency.  His speech illustrates how trump would be an embarrassment to Americans on a world stage.  In a normal race, a person like Romney would be giving a speech urging other Republicans to fall in line behind the person who has won two thirds of the primaries and is the presumptive nominee. Instead, Mitt Romney has declared war on Trump and his voters.

I feel like Romney is right to speak out about his feelings about Donald Trump, but I also feel that it is unlikely the views of the elite, Harvard-educated Romney will sway the non-college-educated votes that are driving Trump's success.  I agree that Trumps personal qualities, the bullying, the greed, the showing off, and the misogyny are very unappealing.  And even if Romney's speech has no electoral impact. it was remarkable.

This article relates to class content because we have been taking about the role of media in congress, and this speech in the media could play a potentially big role in the upcoming election. We also talked about media bias which is supposed to be neutral and objective, but from how I read it, it leaned far towards the liberal side and bashed on Trump.
